Ron Covington

After graduating from Howard U I stayed in D.C. for ten years and then moved to Los Angeles and became a school teacher while still perusing writing. I was accepted into the DISNEY WRITING FELLOWSHIP and worked as a punch-up writer on PRINCESS DIARIES 2. I've had a lot of meetings, a few agents, and some minor re-write work. Hollywood is a tough gig but there's no place I'd rather be!

ditching Miss Lueth's class and using Perry's car to go home and type a paper for Social Studies; the nicknames we had for teachers like Mr. Hendricks (Bob's Big Boy) or Mrs. Hensley (Genghis Hensley); running for our lives from Brian Williams 'cuz my little brother told him we called him "the beast"; having a big crush on Anne Ford and writing and performing a song I wrote for her in the band room with Brian Faucette accompanying on the piano--the girl looked at me like I was nuts and I was! Senor Elliot hollering "effe" when you got a problem wrong in Spanish class. One guy actually cried because he thought he was really getting an "F!"
