Our Classmate, Ron, died suddenly from a massive heart attack on Sunday November 6, 2011. He was in church and complained of back pain and then suffered the attack and could not be revived. We send prayers and thoughts to Ron's wife and 9 year-old daughter. He loved being in contact with his COLT classmates from Crawford and often went out of his way to photograph and chat with as many people as he could at the reunions. He was looking forward to our next reunion at the beach. He will be sorely missed.

It's with a heavy heart that I pass long the news that our great friend Ron Dowd passed away on Sunday Nov 6th while attending services near his home in St. George, Utah. In speaking with his mother, Ron died suddenly of a massive heart attack.
For those of us who had the good fortune of having Ron as a friend he will always be remembered for his infectious laugh and the fact that he was named our "class clown", a title he richly earned. My memories of Ron are far too numerous to state here, but just know that of my many memories of our years at Crawford, Ron takes front and center for many of the best and funniest ones. He will be sorely missed, for his tremendous sense of humor, his spirit and kindness. He was a beautiful human being who has left us far too soon.
I will pass the word out as soon as I can regarding any potential memorial service that may be held in his honor here in San Diego.
